    I’m disappointed his death didn’t involve any kind of gruesome martyrdom involving removal of his still beating heart. I was sure one of the Austin Friars told me it was.

    1. Thank you! I didn’t read any descriptions like that in any of my research. But I wouldn’t be surprised if such a story appeared somewhere. There are a lot of stories about Valentine. Probably because there’s so little information about *any* of the St. Valentines.
